In 2008-09, Body By Milk® is broadening its appeal with a delicious new message that’s sure to intrigue teens—Refuel with Chocolate Milk. Some research suggest that milk’s unique mix of key nutrients can help teens refuel and rehydrate after exercise and the protein in milk can also help build muscle combined with exercise—making lowfat or fat free chocolate milk an ideal choice a post-workout drink.

Refuel Your School Tour: June-Dec 2008

In July 2008, Milk rewards 25 school athletic teams to participate in the Refuel Your School Contest for making chocolate milk their recovery beverage of choice. A Refuel Tour honoring winning schools begins in Fall 2008.

To be part of this exciting campaign, follow these simple steps:

  1. Make sure your schools receive and post Body By Milk kits. If you need additional kits, call 1-800-945-MILK.
  2. Order side panel artwork to use on school milk cartons.
  3. Contact your schools to create events promoting Body By Milk’s recovery message.
  4. Work with your schools and athletic coaches to serve milk at the games and on the sidelines.

Get Fit By Finals: Feb–June 2009

In 2009, MilkPEP is joining forces with the NBA to launch an exciting new youth initiative called Get Fit By Finals. Leveraging the fitness credentials of the NBA and its powerful cache with teens, the new fully-integrated program will aim to reverse the trend of inactivity and address the growing concerns of childhood obesity.

Involving some of the country’s most popular and admired athletes, the education program will focus on school, community and online activities to inspire young people to get physically active and make healthier food and beverage choices, like drinking milk.
